Bills -vs- Bengals
A friend of mine at work has season tickets to the hapless Bengals. This past weekend the weather was projected to be pretty nasty so his wife decided not to go to the game – that left him with an unused ticket which he kindly offered to me. Knowing my brother Ed is a huge Bills fan I felt compelled to attend so that he could at least be there spiritually. Ryan, the owner of the tickets, told me the tickets were for good seats but I didn’t realize how good the seats were! Fourth row in the north endzone, off to the corner. The seats were fantastic! The weather was not.
While on TV the weather didn’t look too bad (I saw sportscenter highlights) it was only about 9 degrees Farenheit out so Ryan and I froze our asses off. However, I still had a blast. I’m not sure I can say the same for Ryan. I was one of a few Bills fans in the section and the Bills special teams and defense dominated most of the game leading to a 33-17 victory. The seats were so good I was able to verbally congratulate the Bills players just before each kickoff. It was really cool. I had planned on taking my digital camera along so I could capture the game for posterity sake – sadly, however, I forgot it. Luckilly, I stopped off at a gas station on the way and bought a disposable camera which worked out OK. The photos I got aren’t great – but they aren’t too bad. You can check them out in the photo album for the game.
Most of the images are from the pregame warmups because I wasn’t sure how good my opportunities would be during the game to catch specific players.
The photo which shows a close up of my ugly mug is taken from my seat. The photo of me standing is from the railing just infront of the seat even though it looks like I’m practically on the field I’m about seven feet above the pitch.
Thanks for the great game Ryan – I appreciate it!
