So you think this was a big sheet that shrank back to this? That's interesting. I never would have imagined that would be possible.
I think it was slush that was driven through while it was getting colder, creating ruts. Then after it all froze it stopped precipitating. A small amount sublimated and made it look like the center part is a stalagmite. But I’m probz wrong.
Interesting. I don't know if it was ever slush. It formed last week during a deep freeze I just didn't get the photo posted until today.
BTW it was about 6-10 inches thick when I first saw it.
